How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets is one of my favourite breakfast foods. How do you make them perfect? Many different recipes and methods have failed to work for me. So I am sharing some tips and tricks today to help you make fluffy, delicious omelets every morning.

When making omelets, it is important to be aware that eggs can be temperamental. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. The yolks and whites will not form properly if they aren't kept cold enough. This will make your omelets appear strangely colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

You might also try separating the egg before adding to the pan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

If you add the egg directly onto the stovetop, you might end up burning the bottom part of the egg, which would ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, heat the egg in a microwave for 10 seconds and then place it in a pan. The microwave heat cooks your egg just right, without it becoming too soft.

Next, let’s talk about mixing the egg. You want to mix the eggs thoroughly before you add them. To do this, take the bowl from the mixer and flip it upside-down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. The egg will be thoroughly mixed in the bowl as the air is whipped.

Now comes the fun part - pouring the milk into the mixture. Fold the eggs in the milk mixture by first pouring half of it into the egg whites. Don't worry if there are still streaks of egg visible; these streaks will disappear once you flip the omelet.

After folding the eggs fold the pan onto medium heat. When the oil starts to hot, wait for the pan to cook. Once the oil begins to heat, add 1/4 cup butter and swirl the pan to coat it. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. A pinch of salt will help prevent the omelet from sticking to the pan.

Once the omelet has formed, cover the pan again and wait for the top side to set completely. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the other half for another minute. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe works best when you use whole milk.
